“Minorities to whichever community they may belong will be safeguarded. Their religion of faith or belief will be secure. There will be no interference of any kind with their freedom of worship. They will have their protection with regard to their religion, faith, life, and culture. They will be, in all respects, the equal citizens of Pakistan without any distinction of caste or creed.” ~ M. The president cautioned that differences on the basis of ignorance often led to extremist views and sentiments which should be strongly discouraged. Quoting an incident from the life of founding father Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the president said that he was a strong advocate of interfaith harmony. He always stressed upon shunning of all differences which could lead to disagreement in the society, he added. He said the religious rights of the minorities in Pakistan were equally protected.
He said further efforts should be made to promote interfaith harmony in the country.

The fact is, humanity everywhere is bound together, not only by mutual interests but by shared commandments to love God and neighbor; to love the good and neighbor. This week, my delegation, with the support of our friends on every continent, will introduce a draft resolution for an annual World Interfaith Harmony Week. What we are proposing is a special week, during which the world�s people, in their own places of worship, could express the teachings of their own faith about tolerance, respect for the other, and peace. I hope this resolution will have your support"

Chief Minister stressed the need to carry forward the golden principles clearly set forth by the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on gaining a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent by declaring that there shall be no discrimination on the basis of religion, caste, creed, and gender in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
There is a need for rising above all kinds of biases and promoting a sense of tolerance towards all and hatred towards none. In a message on the occasion of it is time to pay attention to the message of peace, love, and harmony.
Interfaith harmony must to eliminate terrorism, says CM
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that terrorism is a global issue and the terrorists have no boundaries, no nationality, and no religion, and their main objective is to work against humanity. “Terrorism emerges in one particular region and leaves adverse effects around the world,” he said and added, “it negatively impacts human life, health, properties, peace, and stability.”
The international community as a whole has united against terrorism and have fought successful battles against them but even today their threat to innocent lives is still simmering, therefore govt strategy to combat terrorism should be multidimensional right from educating our new generation about the fruits of social values, co-existence, and inter-faith harmony and plural society. “Sindh has developed a Rule of Law Roadmap under which preventing, and countering terrorism is an important pillar,” he said. The Chief Minister said that the Sindh Government had made necessary legislation to protect human rights. “We have enacted prohibition of child marriage and fixed the marriage age at 18 and we have also made Forced Conversion (religion) law in which nobody could be forced to change the religion,” he said.

Being a Pakistani I feel it is my social and moral duty to give assurance to the people of in my society especially where so many sectarian issues are seen to be rapidly arising & this situation can be very harmful to the solidarity of Pakistan We need interfaith harmony amongst people
The communiqué said all human beings are equal in the eyes of religion, and there is no concept of extremism, sectarianism, and intolerance in Islam. It said the country could not afford hatred for others and extremism especially in the current circumstance, and the faithful would have to join hands to steer the country out of all crises. The joint statement said that once Muslims used to be one irrespective of their sectarian differences, but a wave of sectarianism, spread by the enemy, has divided them all.
It said our internal differences and infighting damaged us more than the conspiracies of the enemies. Quoting various sayings of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him), the statement urged followers of different schools of thought to get united. The conference participants condemned sectarianism, extremism, and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations
said it was need of the hour to work with the same passion for the country’s solidarity and unity which had led to the creation of Pakistan. He stressed upon making efforts to keep a check on all attempts against religious harmony. Through sectarian hatred, attempts were being made by enemies to harm Muslim Ummah, he said, adding the nation had foiled all such attempts in the past.

He said that there is a need for inter-religious harmony among nations and countries at an international level. He said that all minorities in Pakistan are fully protected through legal and constitutional rights. All minorities in Pakistan are safe. He said that the role of religious scholars is important for harmony, promoting peace and brotherhood in society.
